Dry elbows can be uncomfortable, especially if the skin itches or starts to crack. They can also be unattractive when wearing short sleeves.
If you are noticing your elbows getting rough, dry and darker. An accumulation of dry skin on the elbows (which tend to dry out quickly) leads to dark elbows. Exfoliating regularly helps to lighten the elbows so they look natural again.
Always use a rich moisturizing cream on elbows after every shower. Drinking plenty of water also helps alleviate dry skin from the entire body, including the elbows.
lemon cut in half
For a quick fix if you’re going sleeveless, cut a lemon in half and then place an elbow in each half, rubbing vigorously.
You can also mix a tablespoon of brown sugar with a quarter cup of honey and scrub your elbows before apply the lemon. Rinse well, apply lemon, rinse again, then use a thick moisturizing cream for very dark elbows.
