do you think it needs more teams? I REALLY DO.
there are a lot of talented players in our league that get stuck on good teams and they just get old.
We need around 15 teams, max.
what do you think?

I dont watch pba anymore. Mas marami pang fil-am kaysa true-blooded pinoys. Kung foreign blood rin lang, NBA na lang ako. Manood ka ng PBA parang nanonood ka ng
slomo ng NBA.

That's true pero I don't hate on Fil-am's or import. ang ayoko lang na nangyayari pag may improt's ay they usually give the load to the import and not much on our talent. tsaka sa sinabi ko nga kanina, na sayang yung ibang players na marunong maglaro, na na-stuck lang sa mga teams tulad ng talk-n-text, petron(kahit dugong san miguel ako). sana dumami yung team, para mabigyan sila ng chance. ang nakikita ko kasing pattern sa NBA teams is meron silang "franchise player", sa PBA kasi is WALA. kaya hindi nagkakaron ng mga ina-idolize na player dito sa PBA kasi hindi nila alam kugn anong team na siya.

My opinion kiven is that we divert the attention of our young kids into sports which we can excel. We can never enter the Olympics in basketball. Replace basketball with soccer perhaps. Or any other sport where Filipinos can stand high and proud.
We have the first professional basketball league in Asia. Tapos?

i agree more teams sa PBA, kaso mukhang malabo ilang company lang talaga ang kaya magbayad ng player...sana yun ibang mayayaman company magbuo din ng team nila... otherwise tama si Bohica close na yan PBA

I hear your point sir. pero diba we also look for help from other countries mapa-player or coach when it comes to soccer(sorry, hindi kasi ako fan ng soccer, so I don't know anything about it)? I just think malaki pa ang pwedeng i-improve ng PBA, I really think na masyadong na dedeprive yung talents ng mga young players natin dahil sa sobrang onti ng teams sa league.

I really don't see kasi ang passion ng mga owners ng pba teams here, more on profit sila hindi love of the game, kaya ang hirap kumuha ng owners.

Tama ka. But soccer don't get the same attention as basketball. Wala pang local league na televised to increase awareness of Filipinos.

I totally agree. Napansin nyo ba ever since pumasok ang china sa ABC di na tayo nag-champ? Height is might pa rin sa basketball. Kahit makalusot tayo sa China,
wala tayong laban sa malalaking Europeans at south americans like spain and argentina. Lets stop living in the past na nag-3rd tayo sa basketball. Bata pa sina Caloy Loyzaga. Noon basketball is played BELOW the rim, Ngayon ABOVE the rim na.
We are not gifted with height. Hanap na lang tayo ng ibang sport na di masyado kailangan ng height like soccer na palaging nasa baba ang bola. O kaya sepak takraw
or tennis. Daming sport na pwede tayo mag-excel. There is life after basketball

I think meron po sa TV5 na league for soccer here in the philippines

Bakit ang team ng RoS at Alaska eh madalang magkaroon ng players movement pero tignan nyo naman, champion team parehas.

i dont see in todays pba the integrity ang love of game like the pba of yesteryears. the heydays of jawo, mon fernandez, alvin patrimonio, jojo lastimosa, benjie paras, et al. ung laro tlga na sariling atin. mga players ngyn pera pera lang at mga fil-am pa. all filipino conference pero may egoy pa rin? WTF?! ung iba players galing sa school sa US. mga rejects doon sa PBA anggat. IMHO. peace.

Una,PBA team managements=Politics. We want this player from a "weak" team,they force a trade to get that player. Coaches are flipped after a conference. Players are traded too often. Profit over chemistry
Second:Quality ng game ng PBA,medyo di na katulad dati. Due sa hindi balanced ang teams. Nawawala na rin ang physicality.

I think the same way. I just don't think that the physicality is nawawala, it's just that nagkakaron na ngayon ng sobrang restrictions for players to be physical to the opposing team.

Oo nga sir. Manipis ang tawag ng mga referees. Tapos may new rules pa such as handcheck rule,then yung bawal kang magsteal sa likod(sa pba lang meron nyan),etc. Ang tanong is,babalik pa kaya yung physicality ng PBA noon?

I hope mabalik in some way or lagyan nila ng bagong ways yung pagiging physical ng players. ang problem kasi natin sa PBA is management looking at the sport as a "profitable company" kaya nawawalan ng passion ang mga players.

Wala na di na ako nanonood nito.
Iba pa rin nung panahon ng purefoods, swift, alaska, sunkist, etc. Sila meneses, lastimosa, patrimonio, caidic, etc. Na napalitan ng new blood na si Val David at Aquino. Naalala ko pa si Bonel Balingit. Tapos ang mga imports sila chambers, LAMONT STROTHERS, at si KING ba yun ng ginebra. Yun talagang kasagsagan ng PBA.
After lumipas nila val david, on the decline na sa akin ang PBA.

I don't know about scripted, pero andun pa naman yung competitiveness ng mga teams. Kasi kung walang kwenta PBA, edi sana di tayo Silver sa Fiba Asia right? At kung scripted edi palaging binabayaran lang ni MVP yung league officials para magchampion TNT? Is that what you sayin bruh ;D
Konti lang kasi team sa PBA kaya looks boring, at di naman puro filam mga players, mga dina draft nila mostly galing college din.
