Mga ka PT do you think the championship hopes for the Spurs are closing or is it close?
-
they need serious rebuilding for them to win their 5th ring
-
kaya pa yan ng spurs, wala naman nagexpect na makakarating sila ng finals e. pero game 7 yun vs the big three! wow
-
expect the unexpected. ahha gulat nga ko dallas champion
-
Kaya pa nila, nag promise kasi si Duncan that he will come back! Old spurs team vs Miami 3 in their primes.

Tingin ko sir di naman serious rebuilding. I think they should just add some pieces. Kawhi and Danny Green will be better. Neal is gone now. So they have to find 3 more role players. Better if they can have a power forward or center so duncan can "pass the torch".
If they cant have that, maybe a Marcin Gortat is a good short term solution.

Kung gusto mo si Gortat, edi gagawa pa ng trade scenario ang spurs, napansin ko sa management nila, puro free agent signings lang sila, not into tradings masyado.

Not necessarily Gortat, but a player like gortat.
They draft very well(Duncan,Ginobili,Parker). They traded for Kawhi Leonard,Danny Green,Boris Diaw, etc. They trade good, and they trade for their need. I think they'll do it a couple of times this upcoming season to have Gortat or a player like Gortat
-
im a spurs fan since 2003 and i must say im proud of this organization. they are always making the right moves/decisions to keep them on title contention every year. they surround duncan with the right players to complement him. and coach pop is adapting to what his team strengths are. from the defensive oriented team (duncan/robinson/bowen) to now a offensive oriented (uptempo/3point shooting game) team. the only problem now is if duncan retires in the near future. kaya ba ni tony parker dalhin ang team? they need another franchise player to build around. sana magkaron ng breakout season si kawhi this upcoming season and to strike gold again on next years very stacked draft.

You're right, almost forgot na they traded Hill for Leonard, pero sa mga decent centers like Gortat medyo rare maghanap at team na willing itrade. There's Asik, may rumors that he wants to be traded but unlikely na itrade sya ng houston.

I have this feeling na bibitiwan ng Phoenix si Gortat, they drafted Alex Len.
About asik? I think he'll be traded before the deadline, dwight has limited offensive skill. Same as asik. So non sense if they keep both
-
i dont think n close n for the spurs klangan lng nila ng legit center n makakatulong ni duncan. ang mahirap lng walang perang malaki ang spurs but still maipagmamalaki mo p rin cla kasi khit puro "oldies" n dw sv ng iba pro contender p rin.
::)

Trade lang gagawin ng Phoenix dyan if ever, Kung okay sa spurs trade nila si Diaw + draft picks for Gortat, mataas na kasi trade value ni Gortat e.
About kay asik, they made it clear na di nila itrade. Kaya nandyan na sila McHale at Olajuwon para itrain sila, esp. Howard na limited Post Up offense pa rin. :-\

i think kahit hindi sila magtrade, they still have a good chance to make it deep on the playoffs. they have a good coaching system and nandun pa din ang chemistry and their young guys are improving. parang bonus nalang kung magkakaron sila ng another "big" kasi duncan and splitter held thier own against western conference bigs such as gasol, z-bo, pau, howard, bogut last playoffs. they just need it to layoff some minutes to duncan kasi he is again 1 year older next season.

Yea, most likely gagawin ulit nila nag mag layoff ng minutes si Duncan and Parker sa ibang games, days bago magstart ang playoffs. Depende din sa situation kung wlang injured sa kanila, remember Parker played throughout his hamstring injury during the finals. If may mga conditions na ganyan, mahihirapan sila for a title quest.

He played through the finals kahit may injury, and also expected na sa age nila Duncan and Ginobili yun kasi di na young legs e. Imagine kung nasa prime age pa sila. Swerte na lang yung Heat sa game 6 because of Allen's corner 3. Hahaha
-
Yung totoong rebuilding phase ngayon is Celtics and Suns.
-
oo swerte nga ang heat sa game 6...... pero they could have won it sa game 7 pero wala eh nahabol sila ng pagod and to think mahaba ang break nila papasok ng finals compared sa pinag daanan ng heat papasok sa finals di mo makikita na age is catching up on them prone na sila sa injury para sa akin final run na yun ng big 3 nila kung aabot man sila ng playoff or di kaya finals kakaposin pa rin sila
-
Oo nga it could be their last run, kasi yung Warriors nag-add na ng Iguodala, Houston may Howard, at syempre makaka recover na si Westbrook from injury.
-
for me, ang rebuilding phase ng spurs starts, if duncan (1-2 season left) retires. i don't think they need any roster changes. why rebuild now if they can still compete for western conference title? and we all know that the spurs front office always makes good decisions for the team.

no doubt they can still compete pero when it comes to winning a championship malabo na talaga age is catching up on their big 3 si parker although 31 pa siya pero he's an old 31 he's already a 13 year veteran this coming season prone na sa injury manu is not a explosive as he was before si tim naman is among the best on his position pero madali na siyang mapagod..... magandang foundation si loenard at green para sa kanilang rebuilding

When Duncan retire,Pop will be out too. That's when total rebuilding starts(See the celtics now). I think it wont happen sa spurs, that's why I see them being involved in wise trades this season. They have cap space too. Lets see
-
why not wait a season or 2? if that's duncans last legs then add more role players but not to rebuild. rebuilding starts if they can no longer compete with the best of the nba.
-
low-profile team kasi ang Spurs pero pagdating ng playoff, don't count them out, nandun ang lakas nila comes playoff time. Pwede pa ung nucleus nila at may mga nadagdag pang role players like Belinelli at mas nagmatured sina Splitter, Leonard at Green to support their Big Three (Duncan, Parker & Ginobili) so nandyan pa yan knocking at NBA's championship picture.

Akala natin terror coach pero he forged a mutual bond with his players kaya di lumipat sila Manu, TP, and Tim. If they can match against the young and tough teams like Warriors and Thunder.
Yung experience sa playoffs nila Green, Leonard and Splitter nakadagdag na yan sa confidence nila come playoff time.

As long as LBJ is there to carry the team, Heat is a team to beat.

naalala ko tuloy may napanood ako video, timmy spends his vacation with coach pop every offseason (ewan ko lang ngayon kung ganun pa). tapos coach pop already getting to know timmy months before the spurs draft him as their number 1 pick.
i remember also that duncan has the option to go to nba in his freshman year and is projected as a number 1 pick every year in college, but he instead fulfill his promise to his sister to graduate college.

Cool story, that's why I respect Duncan, a very nice person. Ngayon I read an article na Hibbert and Duncan will train with each other. Mentor kasi nya si Tim. We might see an even better Roy Hibbert next season.

That's why he's so respected around the league. Just simple, steady basketball.

Yup I know ;D rookie pa ata si Hibbert nung nagtrain ata sya kay Duncan or After ng rookie season, i don't know which one. Yea effective fundamental moves from Duncan!
