Since mid of 2012 I have been going in and out of Davao due to work.
I learned to love it here thats why when 2013 started, I brought my family here with me and worked out an arrangement with my company to be assigned here for the rest of the year.
In this thread let me share with you the beauty of Davao. Please note that I'm working here so me and my family only gets to roam around during weekends so I'm not claiming to be a know it all but I'll do my best to give everyone a glimpse of what its like here and what cool places to visit.

Franciso Bangoy International Airport
Also called Davao International Airport, is the main airport serving Davao City in the Philippines. It is the busiest airport in the island of Mindanao. The airport has a single 3,000-meter precision runway.
The modern facility is designed to handle approximately 2 million passengers annually and 84,600 metric tons of cargo annually. The added capacity is also complemented by the latest navigational, security, and baggage handling equipment.

Abreeza Mall
Abreeza Mall is a large shopping mall complex located at J.P. Laurel Avenue, Bajada in Davao City, Philippines. It is the first Ayala Shopping Center located in Mindanao. It opened on May 12, 2011.
The 3-storey mall lies within a 4-hectare space of the 10-hectare commercial complex. Also in the same complex stands a 4-storey Robinson's Mall. Abreeza Mall has the biggest total retail floor area in Mindanao.
Since Abreeza is owned by Ayala Malls, the feel of the place is somewhat like Trinoma. Department store here though is not Landmark but rather Robinson's. This is the place to be if you want to go malling but don't want too much crowd. Among all the malls here, I think Abreeza is the less frequented. Most of the locals are still loyal to Gaisano Mall which is the mall that they already got used to even before SM Davao was establised. There's also Victoria Mall which is already a bit old but some locals still patronize the place.

Gaisano Mall
Gaisano Mall of Davao (also known as G-Mall) is a major shopping mall located along J.P. Laurel Avenue, Bajada, Davao City. It is the largest of more than 40 Gaisano malls in the Visayas and Mindanao. The mall has a gross land area of 120,000m². It has four floors of stores and restaurants, a department store, a supermarket on the ground floor, and a cinema on the top floor.
In my books, this is most visited mall here in Davao City. Gmall is even more popular than SM. It has a feel of Market! Market! less the bazaars.
They have a cool roof deck area called The Peak which is somewhat similar to the Skygarden in SM North Edsa.

Thanks bro.

NCCC Mall Davao City is located at the corner of Ma-a Road and McArthur Highway and is the biggest of the city's three NCCC malls. It has three floors and houses a bowling alley and billiards room, a department store, a supermarket, a cinema, a food court, and many electronics and appliance stores, including an activity center for kids, and a post office.
I haven't been here yet but I heard that a lot of locals also frequent this place. There are also a lot of small NCCC convenience stores all over Davao..
Where I've been to is the NCCC Mall in Magsaysay Ave. Only went there once and was dissatisfied with the slow service so was turned off to go back there. I guess its different in the branch in Maa since its bigger and more like an SM. On a sidenote, people here are laid back that's why service is a lot slower as compared in Manila where everything is fast paced. I guess that just the way that they roll here. Kaya minsan sa Metro Manila nakakakita tayo ng mga taong mababagal and we refer to them as galing probinsiya, well now I understand that perhaps thats really the way they are from what they came from kaya pag napunta sa Metro Manila kailangan pa nila ng a little bit of getting used to.
Maa branch

New and old street names:
There are some streets here which have been renamed but most of the locals and even the signboards on jeepneys still go by the former names. Here are some of those which I'm familiar of:
C Bangoy St. formerly known as Ponciano
CM Recto St. formerly known as Claveria
Pichon St. formerly known as Magallanes
Magsaysay Ave. formerly known as Uyanguren

Victoria Plaza Mall was built in the 1990's and is one of the earlier malls in Davao City. It is located along J. P. Laurel Avenue, Bajada, Davao City.
It has a feel like Grand Central, Ever Gotesco Malls, and Isetann. It looks old and is not renovated to compete to the look of the newer malls. Despite that, a lot of locals still frequent the place. If you're in Davao and want to buy class A shoes like the ones in Greenhills then this is the place for you to visit.
What I like in Victoria is their supermarket. Its more organized as compared to the one in Gaisano Mall and prices are a bit lower there too. This is where my wife and I do our groceries.

Davao Chimes Mall is an upscale shopping complex located along Sales Street, Chinatown. The mall is noted for its most costly of commodities and luxurious brands - such as Louis Vuitton, Coach, Figaro, Red Ribbon, etc. Other high end shops sell designer watches, jewelry, and appliances. The restaurants are exotic and offer international cuisines from countries, such as Malaysia, India, Singapore, and Vietnam.
We visited this place on a Sunday and most stores are closed. That's really how it is here that's why if its Sunday, the down town area sort of looks like a ghost town because most business establishments are closed but I didn't expect that even those in Chimes Mall are closed too.
Its like a very small version of the department store of Gateway Mall in Cubao.

SM Malls
There are two SM Malls here.
SM City Davao is a major shopping mall located along Quimpo Boulevard at Ecoland Drive, Matina. The mall opened in November 2001. It has three floors and has many restaurants, a department store, a supermarket, an appliance center, and a cinema. It's the only mall in Davao City that has free Wi-Fi. It is the first SM Supermall constructed in Mindanao. Its style feels like you're in SM City Fairview.
The newer one is SM Lanang Premiere located along JP Laurel Ave and is near the airport. It opened only last September 2012. Its style feels like you're in The Block of SM North. It also has a mini version of the Sky Garden. For girls who go gaga over Forever21, this is your place to be. There's also Starbucks here. Afaik only Abreeza and SM Lanang has Starbucks.
They have a dancing fountain show and in front of the fountain is where you could do picture picture that will let everyone one your fb friends know that you're in Davao.
Fewer crowd here as compared to the older SM near Ecoland.

Nagulat nga din ako dati kasi namasyal ako ng Sunday and was looking for a tattoo shop. I heard na meron daw sa down town area so I went there and to my surprise ay parang ghost town dahil puro sarado karamihan ng establishments.

Transportation
Taxi - If you're a tourist and want to reach your destinations faster and more convenient, then taxis are your bestfriend. Majority of the taxis here are new models with cool aircons not unluke in Metro Manila where madami pading taxi na mga luma na at tipong lugi ka sa binayad mo dahil bukod sa luma na ay mabagal, maamoy, at mahina pa ang aircon.
Jeepney / Multicab - Majority of the jeepneys here arent really jeepneys but rather multicabs.
When you make abot your bayad sa jeep and no one helps you make abot it right away, you can say "palihog sa bayad". Palihog means please in bisaya and is used very often.
When your bayad reaches manong driver, he may ask "asa manaog" which means saan baba and he may also ask "asa gikan" which means saan galing. So if you're proactive then you could say "bayad (daw)....palihog....(destination)...(saan sumakay) gikan. Sample if you're going to Quiapo and came from Espanya "bayad (daw)....palihog....Quiapo...Espanya gikan."
Kapag naman baba na, instead of saying "para" they say "lugar lang".
Tricyboat (tricybot) - Tricycle na parang jeep. It functions like a jeep too in the sense na may ruta siya. Tricyboat can accomodate ten passengers.
Trisikad similar to pedicab meron din.
Same goes with the regular tricycle na pwedeng special trip.
Habal habal is not like the old school habal habal anymore na parang may pakpak ang motor.

Lets start with beaches.
Pag pinagusapan ang beach, naparaming magaganda sa Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS) or more popularly known as Samal Island. Samal Island is blessed with white sand and clear waters. Dito matatagpuan ang sikat na sikat na Pearl Farm but aside from Pearl Farm ay napakarami pang ibang beaches na pwedeng puntahan. I personally haven't been to Pearl Farm yet and parang hindi ko masikmura na pumunta dun kasi sobrang sakit sa bulsa dahil afaik ay 1.5k ang entrance fee ng day tour nila dun. But who knows diba?

Bluejaz Beach Resort and Waterpark
This is the very first beach that I visited here in Davao. Going there is very convenient because they have their own boat that docks directly on their resort. If you're going to ride a cab, simply tell the driver to bring you to the wharf for Bluejaz. If you plan to ride a jeep, ride a jeep bound to Sasa. You can ride jeepneys with signboards going to Sasa, Panacan, and Tibungco. Tell the driver to drop you off at Mary Knoll. Landmark for Mary Knoll is that its sandwiched between Jolibee and Petron. After mo mag "lugar lang" kay manong driver, its about five minutes walk for you to reach the boats going to Bluejaz.
Once you reach the the facility of Bluejaz where you'll ride the boat, dun na din magbabayad ng entrance fee which already includes the round trip boat fare. Kung tama alala ko its only 120 pesos for day trip. As early as 6am may boat na papunta ng Blujaz and last trip going back to Davao City is 5pm. The boat ride more or less takes 5-7 minutes only. If you're lucky, pwedeng machempuhan mo ang boat nila na parang galleon.
Upon reaching Bluejaz, someone there might collect 5 pesos environmental fee for Samal Island. First na punta ko walang siningil na ganun but when I went there the second time ay meron.
You can bring your own food but they also have a restaurant and bar where you could order food. Iba ang area ng food bringers and non food bringers. Non food bringers have a cozier place near the restaurant.
If its weekend, expect a lot of crowd in Bluejaz. Last time we went there parang Korean invasion ang naganap. LOL
Famous ang Bluejaz because aside from the beach ay meron din silang infinity pool. The beach is awful if low tide kaya plus factor talaga ang swimming pool.

The bar.
Ito naman mga accomodations in case you want to stay there overnight.
They also offer ski-ing, kayaking, wakeboarding and diving.
Highly recommended ang Bluejaz for everyone. All walks of like okay dito. Kung kulang sa budget you can bring your own food. If vacation mode naman madami choice of quality food and excellent service. This is one of the most visited beach resort in Samal Island.
For more info you can check them out:

Bluewaters Beach Resort
If you're looking for a resort that's not too crowdy, this is the nearest one that you could go to. Just like Bluejaz, they also have their own boat that docks directly to their resort. If riding a cab tell the driver to drop you off sa Marina Wharf . If you plan to ride a jeep, ride a jeep bound to Sasa. You can ride jeepneys with signboards going to Sasa, Panacan, and Tibungco. Tell the driver to drop you off at Marina Wharf. After mo mag "lugar lang" kay manong driver, there are trisikads/pedicabs there na pwede maghatid sa wharf which would only cost 5-10 pesos per person. By the way Marina Wharf is also the dock and reception area for Pearl Farm.
They don't allow walk ins so better reserve a day or two before your planned visit there. Reservation can be done through text so no sweat.
First time we went there we stayed overnight. The room good for 4 persons costed us I think around 1.5k something pesos. They have a restaurant there but you may also bring food but I think they charge corkage. Masarap din naman food from their restaurant. Bringing of drinks of any sort is not permitted. Upon riding the boat palang may mag iinspect na.
They have two swimming pools, one for adult and one kiddie pool. The water on the pool does not have chlorine. No chlorine because its salt water na pinump lang galing sa beach.
First time we went there we didn't check how the bill was itemized, we just looked at the final bill and paid. So the second time we went there for day trip, dun kami medyo na bad trip kasi yung isang kasama namin chineck yung pagka itemize ng bill. We found out that the boat ride costs around 350 pesos. Then sa restaurant even if we ordered food and drinks from them, may extra bayad pa pala for the use of tables. Kung hindi sana kami umorder sa kanila okay lang if they charge us eh. So with that, namahalan kami sa Bluewaters kaya hindi na kami babalik dun kahit kelan. Service nila medyo mabagal din. In fairness though ay magaganda ang accomodation nila. But if you plan to stay overnight, better order from the restaurant before 8pm because they close at 8.
Overall I would only recommend this kung gusto niyo na medyo private ang setting. If not kasi, baka madismaya din kaya at mapamahal ng very light.
And ofcourse it wouldn't be complete without the pictures:

Marex Villarica Beach Resort
If you're looking for a beach with a laid back ambience then Marex Villarica Beach Resort is for you. Unlike Bluejaz and Bluewaters, Marex doesn't have their own boat that docks directly to their resort. Going there is a bit of an adventure.
Most locals going to Samal Island rides the Island City Bus over at Magsaysay Park.
The bus will go to Sasa Wharf and board a RORO in order to reach Samal Island. It takes more or less 10 minutes to reach Samal via RORO.
Marex is in Babak, Samal and the fare going there is only 30 pesos. Upon reaching Babak, there are a lot of single motorcyles or habal habal that you can contract to bring you to Marex. Simply tell them to bring you to Marex beach. Fare is only 20 pesos per person.
When I go there, I put in a little twist on the beginning of the adventure. Instead of riding a bus in Magsaysay Park, I ride a jeep going to Sasa Wharf. Almost anywhere in the down town area you could find jeeps with signboard Sasa, Pancan, and Tibungco that will pass by Sasa Wharf. Then on Sasa Wharf I board the RORO and go to the upper deck for a more serene experience as compared to being inside a bus. On the upper deck I get to enjoy the cool breeze. If you're on the bus, better ready your pamaypay if you don't want to drown in sweat.
When the RORO reaches Samal Island, thats the time that I wait for a bus to pass by and ride up to Babak proper where I'll then ride a motorcyle in order to reach Marex.
Day tour entrance fee at Marex is only 30 pesos and overnight is 60 pesos. They have affordable accommodations but you can also bring your own tent then just pay a minimal fee (60-100 pesos) for beach camping. Extra 100 peso fee for renting a table and 300-350 for open cottages.
When you go to Marex, what you're after is the laid back ambiance of the resort. There's no restaurant there so better bring your own food. They have a small sari sari store where you could buy hard liquor, some junk foods for pulutan, and they also have cup noodles. Service, what's that? Don't expect excellent service at Marex. Kumbaga eh andun lang ang mga ate at kuya na nagttrabaho dun to help you in case you need assistance. Its more like the kind of setting in backyard beaches in Cavite or Batangas.
In the many times that I've been there, the most crowded that it got was when there where two other families aside from mine. Most of the time, kami lang talaga tao dun.
I would say that Marex isn't for everybody. If you're a pasosyal type you might get disappointed. When I go there, I bring cooked food, snacks, and drinks. I don't expect anything from the staff there. Its just like I went there and asked them a favor and paid them a little money in order to crash at their place for a while.

Vanishing Island of Samal Island
I learned about this attraction when it was featured in a Yahoo! article about unexplored attractions in the country. Its called Vanishing Island because it vanishes during high tide.
Vanishing Island can be seen from Marex Villarica Beach Resort. The reason I found Marex is because of Vanishing Island. I was researching how to get to Vanishing Island and I read that Marex is a good starting point in order to reach the island. At Marex, you can tell the staff there that you want to go to Vanishing Island and they'll be the one to look for a boat that you could rent to bring you there. For a pump boat that could accommodate a maximum of 10 persons, they usually charge 500 pesos.

Over the weekend and the rest of the week next week I'll be in Manila for vacation so most likely I won't be able to give updates while I'm there. Watch out for more updates next next week when I get back here in Davao. Almost six months ako nawala sa Manila so hectic ang sked while on vacation there.
Next update I have three more beaches that I already visited, two of which are considered as my favorites.
Please feel free to post any questions whatsoever. If you have anything to contribute that will showcase the beauty of Davao, don't hesitate to post them here as well.

I toured most Visayan islands plus mindoro & palawan but never pa ako napunta mindanao, so your posts helps a lot sa mga gaya ko na may balak pumunta sa davao para may reference na (wag lang cebu pacific masakyan at baka mag-over shoot na naman, hahaha.)
thank you sir. ;)

Next Monday when I get back in Davao, icontinue ko po ang ating online touring in Davao. Sulitin ko muna bakasyon ko dito.
Maraming salamat po ulit sa mga sumusubaybay.

I like to go to Davao in the near future. They say it has been developed for tourist attraction. 8)

Isla Reta
Isla Reta is one of my favorite beaches here in Davao. If I really want to just sit back and relax, then this is the place that I would go to. It takes an hour boat ride in order to reach Isla Reta which is located in Talicud Island. Boats going to Isla Reta can be found in Sta. Ana Wharf. Boat fare is 80 pesos one way. Earliest boat to leave Sta. Ana Wharf is at around 9 or 10am. Boat ride going back to Davao City is 3pm.
If you want to make your the most out of your stay in Isla Reta, I strongly suggest for you to stay overnight. You might have the feeling of being bitin if you take the earliest trip and arrive there at 10-11am then leave at 3pm. The place is so captivating that you would want to stay there longer.

Entrance fee is only 75 pesos for day trip and 150 for overnight. They have rooms for accommodation for overnight stay though I believe that the rooms doesn't have aircon so you'll have to settle for an electric fan. You can bring your own tent though and only pay 100 pesos for pitching it. If you don't have a tent with you but want to experience sleeping in one, they have tents for rent for 400 pesos. For better comfort you can also rent pillows and mattresses.
You can bring your own cooked food and you can also make ihaw on the resort. They serve food there too but they only have a limited menu.
Also bring your snorkeling gear because you can see fishes swimming around even in the shallow waters of Isla Reta. If its low tide, you can easily reach the part of the beach where there are a few corals and see more marine life.
Enjoy the white sand and clear waters, beach bum under talisay trees, and take pictures around the place, do whatever you please for your Isla Reta getaway. I ran out of words but all I can say is Isla Reta is a must visit when you visit Davao. Here you go with more photos of the resorts.

After relaxing at Isla Reta and when you've headed back to Davao City, walk over to Magsaysay Fruit Vendors Association and eat durian. From Sta. Ana Wharf you can easily see the long stream of fruit vendors and is within walking distance.
The fruit market is fronting a popular Davao landmark which is welcomes you to the city's Chinatown.

Dahican Beach
(http://i44.tinypic.com/2zr020g.jpg)
2.5-3 hours away from Davao City is Dahican beach in Mati, Davao Oriental. Considered as the surfing and skimboarding haven of Davao.
There's a terminal in Victoria Mall with vans bound to Mati. Fare is 220 pesos and the trip take 2.5-3 hours. You may also ride a bus at Ecoland terminal but it would take you around 6 hours if you opt for that option so better yet ride the van. When you reach the city of Mati, just ride a single motorcyle or a tricyle and ask to be brought to Dahican beach. 50 pesos per person is a reasonable fare for them to ask.
Medyo tamad ako magsulat ngayon kaya to describe this beach, I just got the article from a certain blog ( http://thetravelteller.com/ (http://thetravelteller.com/) ).
Used to be secret beach paradise of the locales, this tropical jewel is endowed by a seven-kilometer stretch of pure white sand beach lined attractively with coconut trees, facing the clear turquoise waters of the great Pacific Ocean. During monsoons months, the open sea’s waves and currents are huge and ravaging. It seems pretty scary and ruthless for those who do not know how to swim. But for those who love to play the waves, the beach is a perfect spot for surfing and skimboarding.
Dahican has attracted thousands of skimboarders and surfers across the country. In fact, Skimboarding Competitions are held here annually gathering the best players of the waves coming not just from the Philippines but some parts of the world. It becomes one of the most anticipated annual events in the whole region drawing thousands of crowds – skimboarders or not. Because of such, Dahican Beach becomes synonymous to the word “skimboarding”.
Dahican’s reputation for skimboarding is attributed to the team that started it all on the shores of Dahican – the Amihan Boys. The now renowned Amihan Boys is a homegrown team of local skimboarders and surfers headed by Kuya Jun Plaza, a native of Dahican. Amihan Boys has gained wide reputation as the best Skimboarders and Surfers in the country and has gone far joining competitions here and abroad. Today, these amazing boys became local celebrities as some of them have won various local and international skimboarding competitions.
More than a skimboarding and surfing destination, Dahican Beach is one astounding tropical paradise every beach lovers should never miss to visit when in this part of the region. Its quaint and laid back feel is like no other. For sun worshipers, wake up at early dawn, run to the shores and wait for a glorious sunrise to peep from the waters of the great Pacific Ocean. Surely, it will leave you breathless.
Ito ako na ulit from here.
Since the beach is undeveloped, there are not much accomodations in Dahican. To name a few there's Botona Beach Resort and Kubo sa Dahican. But if you really want to have one of a kind stay, I suggest that you visit the turf of the Amihan Boys. You can bring your own tent then just pay 75 pesos for pitching it at their area. No entrance fee. If you don't have a tent, they have rentals there for 200-300 pesos. If you're a lone backpacker you may even just bring or rent a hammock to sleep on if you intend to stay overnight.

Skimboarding lesson with the Amihan boys is only 150 pesos which already includes a board that you may use. For surfing its 400 pesos.

Salamat sa pag-promote ng aming beloved davao. Im a transplanted davaoeno, being a Manileno until I graduated from college and joined our family here in davao to stay for good. Nice beaches, less traffic and of course less criminals thanks to our mayor Duterte and a very good police force, combined with Task Force Davao which mayor Duterte himself created. It's more fun in Davao!

Davao City PNP
Here's an incident that happened today na nakaka proud sa PNP here in Davao.
----
Three suspected kidnappers shot dead, victim rescued in Davao City
Three suspected kidnappers were gunned down and another one was apprehended in Davao City yesterday morning while police operatives were able to rescue a Chinese businesswoman who was abducted in Quezon City last week.
Operatives of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) successfully rescued Sally Chua, a resident of San Francisco del Monte, Quezon City.
During the operation, three suspects were shot dead and one was apprehended while more than 10 other cohorts managed to escape.
Police investigation showed that Chua was abducted by the kidnap-for-ransom group in Quezon City on July 5.
She had been taken by at least 14 suspects to Davao via a roll-on-roll-off vessel (RORO).
Chua was forced by the group to withdraw P15 million from an Allied Bank in downtown Davao.
The kidnap group initially demanded Chua some P150 million as ransom payoff. During the course of negotiation, the demand was lowered to P15 million.
Chua and the suspects agreed that the victim will be the one to withdraw the money at the Allied Bank branch situated along CM Recto Street, Davao City at 12 noon yesterday.
It was learned that the suspects were armed with .45 caliber pistol. The suspects were said to be from Bukidnon, Samar and other nearby provinces.
As the bank transaction is being held, combined force of Davao police units and Metro Manila operatives were able to intercept the suspects before they could even leave the bank.
The suspects were in three brand new Montero SUVs.
Region XI police director Chief Supt. Jaime Morente said the suspects tried to shoot the police.
Morente disclosed that at least 10 suspects managed to escape on board a white Montero SUV, one was captured while three of them were shot dead. Chua was rescued.
Local police set up checkpoints on the possible routes of the at-large suspects as they are conducting pursuit operations.
Davao City police chief Senior Supt. Ronald de la Rosa said they have been monitoring the group since Wednesday.
In a local radio interview, Chua admitted that he was the one who suggested that the payoff transaction be done in Davao City since she was confident that the suspects would be caught there.
Chua also said that the kidnappers even booked him on a flight back to Manila yesterday afternoon and even brought fruits as pasalubong.

Halos across the street lang namin ang pinangyarihan. While it was happening akala ko may mga nagpapaputok lang dahil malapit lang din kami sa People's Park kaya akala ko dun galing ang mga fireworks or something. Then nung hapon pagbili ko ng meryenda sa baba ng building eh nakita ko na may press at maraming umuusisa a few steps away from where I was. Then yun nakita ko ang pinangyarihan ng eksena pero wala na mga bangkay nung time na yun. Yung Montero na ginamit nalang nakita ko dun and SOCO operatives together with some people from the press.
Sa interview sa news sa tv sabi ni Davao City PNP Director na para sa mga matinong mamayan "Davao: Life is here" pero para sa mga masasamang loob "Davao: Your life ends here". Good job!
-
Korek ka diyan sir monde8, so proud to be a davaoeno after that shootout.

Life is Here in Davao
-
So ganyan nga.. may mandato or warning para umalis ng davao.

-
Transportation
Tricyboat (tricybot) - Tricycle na parang jeep. It functions like a jeep too in the sense na may ruta siya. Tricyboat can accomodate ten passengers.

animazoo thanks for the correction sir.

Hagimit Falls in Samal Island
We went to Hagimit Falls in Samal Island.
How to get there muna:
We rode the RORO in Sasa Wharf then pagdating sa Samal Island ay nag bus na biyaheng Penaplata and dun na kami bumaba sa dulo sa tinatawag na Warehouse. Yung warehouse ay parang supermarket and hardware in one sa sobrang dami ng nabibili. Frome the warehouse ay sumakay ng single motorcycle for 20 pesos each papunta sa Hagimit Falls.
Entrance fee for adults is 40 pesos and for kids 2-7 years old ay 20 pesos.
The place is like a hidden paradise. Sarap mag tampisaw at lumangoy langoy sa malamig na tubig. Very relaxing din magpa masahe sa falls.
Whether you go there alone or in a group, you'll surely enjoy it. One with nature ang peg.
There are cottages for rent para may mapag iwanan ng gamit and place to eat. Smallest cottage good for up to 4 persons is only 150 pesos and there are bigger ones as well. May rooms for rent din if you wish to stay overnight. Yung natanong ko na concrete room is only 700 pesos and can accomodate up to 5 persons.
There's a store there that sells snacks, softdrinks, and liquor. No restaurant so you better bring your own food. May mga ihawan area naman para magluto.
I have nothing to say more aside from we'll definitely go back there again. We enjoyed it so much kagaya ng sa paborito kong Dahican Beach.
Here you go with the pics that we took while we were there:

Miss ko na ang Davao. I was there last 2007. Ate in every eat-all-you-can resto. Went to Eden Paradise(?). Yung nasa bundok. Sarap mag outing dun. Ang pinaka the best is yung lunch.
Also had good times sa Samal Island. Overnight during a valentine with sixcapades pa. Hehehe.
Kelan kaya ako makakabalik? ???

Looks nice! maraming salamat sa share TS. id like to visit davao soon. heard its one of the safest places in the philippines at isa sa safest sa buong mundo!

Yep Davao is indeed one of the safest place in the country. And oh, marami ding mapuputi at makikinis na chicks.

Been to Davao twice, back in 2006, and last year. I like the nature spots in the area, and they have nice shopping malls as well.

Medyo matagal ko na pala hindi na update ang thread na to so here goes.....
Deca Wakeboard Park in Mintal
When in Davao and you want to try out something new, why not try wake boarding. Sa ngayon meron na din yata sa Cebu and if you are in Metro Manila, the nearest you can go to is in Clark Pampanga. The one in Clark Pampanga is also Deca Wakeboard Park.

How to get there:
From Downtown Davao you can ride a cab going directly to the venue and it will only cost around Php250.
You can also ride a jeepney or an airconditioned van in front of Ateneo de Davao in Roxas Avenue. Tell the driver to drop you off in Mintal and that you are bound for Deca Homes. Jeepney fare is only Php20 and I think for the aircon van its Php35. Don't worry coz all the drivers know that place and they even have conductors who will remind them. When in Mintal already, ride a tricycle and tell the driver to bring you to the wakeboard park. Trike fare is only Php10 per person.
A 2 hour session will only cost you Php350 on weekdays and Php500 on weekends, that already includes the use of equipments. You can also PM me when visiting so that if I have some complimentary passes or discounted tickets, I can ride with you and maybe lets just split the bill. I'm just a few tumblings from there and sometimes have passes and discounts for being a homeowner at Deca Homes.
