EXPLANATION: In the first 90 minutes of sleep, you go through deepening stages ranging from light sleep to deep sleep.
Then you enter a phase called REM sleep (REM is short for Rapid Eye Movement) During REM sleep, the rest of your body essentially becomes paralyzed. The release of certain neurotransmitters are shut down and your large muscles do not move.
Some people have abnormal REM sleep in which those neurotransmitters do not shut down, and they act out their dreams. Most of the dreams we vividly remember happen during REM, as our brain has higher activity during this phase.

Ah i see. Kaya siguro kapag binabangungot ako and when I realize that I need to wake myself up, hirap ko pagalawin ang kamay ko para samaplin ang mukha ko in order for me to wake up. Aha!

just thinking lang...
-
uhm maybe poh
well yun feeling mo rin kasi eh nasa panaginip ka eh
you wanna wake up but you cant really move
-
or yung paggising mo tapos namamanhid yung mga paa mo?
sana same lang yun?

Yeah sleep paralysis is very real and can be a horrifying experience.
One tip to prevent or least me lessen significantly eh dumapa ka matulog.

About your dream, that sounds like lucid dreaming.
Yung sa paa naman, could still be related to sleep paralysis, or something entirely different. Nerves perhaps?
Check with you Doctor if it happens more often Iceprince. Baka naman may deficiency ka lang and easily rectified by exercise and supplements.

I think you mean "sleep" paralysis. Lol

Sleep paralysis occurs to me every time napupuyat ako or kulang sa tulog. It's not really scary once you get used to it. Like me nung unang experience ko mejo nakakatakot, but nung madalas na parang wala nalang sakin.
You'll definitely hear weird noises, that some people associate with paranormal activities or evil entities inside their room, but believe me there is no paranormal behind it. It's just your brain playing tricks on you.
Once your in sleep paralysis, obviously your physical body is paralyzed but you are conscious. If you try to move you'll somewhat hear a vibration and strong pressure on your ears. Kinda weird, but I got used to it.

Numbness on your feet is not related to sleep paralysis. Numbness is caused by poor/decreased circulation or blood flow. Baka primary cause is ung sleeping position mo na restrained and decreased ang normal blood flow to your feet resulting to numbness when you wake up.
Like what you said, after 10min and konting hampas saka lang bumabalik sa normal. I'm assuming that when you wake up you are in a more suitable position for proper blood circulation for the numbness to disappear. But 10min is a little too long a, when I experience numbness i just stretch out my feet and mga a minute or two back to normal na.

This is just what they call sleep paralysis. 4 times nang nagyari sa akin last time was 1 day akong hindi nakatulog at uminom pa ako by that night.
As what fayt said, when REM occurs the body shuts down although sometimes REM fails and whole body rests while you are awake.
I had some hallucinations while I experienced it in the 2nd and 3rd, 2nd one I saw a dark figure, 3rd one was smoke. I never sleep while it happens I just wait until my body can move. I tried yelling but my vocal cords rests. There are only two things i can move. My eyes and my breathing, anything else was just resting.
Pretty scary in ordinary people, but as a health practitioner, I am curious how and why it happens...

may kung ano ano na nga sya ginagawa kasi she is thinking may ghost. pero the way i see it something wrong with her, kasi super dalas na.

I don't think sleep paralysis applies on the person you are describing. But seeking a psychologist or doing hypnosis would help because more likely he/she has a stress in the past that subconsiously haunting the person. If you see him/her as a silent type of person or a person who cannot look in the eyes during conversation and pwede rin kung disoriented at laging tulala na tao, my theory maybe right.
