Title: An Epic 100 Day Journey Around the Phils
Post by: monde8 on May 25, 2013, 03:36:40 AM
As I was planning a weekend getaway, I stumbled upon a blog which caught my attention. Travel blogger James Betia of www.journeyingjames.com (http://www.journeyingjames.com) traveled around the Philippines for 100 days in the cheapest possible way.

He journeyed around the Philippines starting from Manila (Km.0) going up Northern Luzon then down to the eastern part to the provinces South of Manila like Quezon and Bicol region, cross the sea to explore the Eastern Visayas (Samar and  Leyte) and then go down further to Mindanao (start from Surigao till I reach Tawi-Tawi then go up north to Dapitan) then to Central Visayas then go to Iloilo, ride a ferry to Palawan and continue to Mindoro finishing in Batangas and back to his home town in Laguna.

Here's the link of a vid when he was featured on ANC which is some kind of summary and highlights of the trip:

I haven't had the chance to read his travel report yet but I will definitely look it over as well as all his travels. I find his journeys very inspiring and is indeed an eye opener that there are a lot of beautiful places here in our country and that you don't need a lot of money to enjoy travelling. By the way for his 100 day challenge, he only spent around 49.6k

Kung si Jame ay naglibot sa Pilipinas as backpacker, bilib din ako sa iba na iba naman ang trip like naglibot ng Pilipinas na kasama ang motorcycle or scooter nila. Masarap talaga mag adventure.

Ang ginagawa ng iba magreresign sila para maghanap ng bagong trabaho pero bago sila mgahanap eh gagawin nila yang 1linggo hanggang 1buwan paglilibot sa Pilipinas. Mahirap gawin kasi pag may work.
