Title: Would you rather be book smart or street smart? Why?
Post by: Cathrina on May 01, 2013, 03:52:10 AM
I rather be street smart coz i can understand hands on quicker than trying to figure out how to do it in the book..like if someone show me how to cathether a patient i can get it faster by watching than following the steps in the book im sucks on it..

I prefer to be a book smart. I read plenty of 'how to' books and now im applying those in real life though i admit that there are some gone in my mind.

If I have to choose from the 2 choices! I would say I'm book smart. When you say street smart it's actually part experienced! I would rather be just smart! ;)

It's hard to follow by the book all alone and just being a plain book smart.
The real battle is out there, being street smart has a more chance of survival.

It's good to be both, but it's more practical to be street smart out there. I know a lot of book smart people who don't know how to commute, or deal with other people in certain situations.

Street smart of course, things go unexpected sometimes not all things you read from the book can be helpful

ano po ba ito learning style? kc for me when you say book smart, you know a lot about books but if we say street smart, urban person ka.. what i mean to say is you know what to do with out step by step procedures.. its like knowledge VS wisdom.. Knowledge means you know everything by the book, cover to cover while wisdom means you know what you need to do with a certain situation or certain scenario without thinking step by step. do i make sense ??? i hope i do :lr: but if this about learning style you might be reffering to the ways of learning things. this are examples: Visual (spatial):You prefer using pictures, images, and spatial understanding. Aural (auditory-musical): You prefer using sound and music. Verbal (linguistic): You prefer using words, both in speech and writing. Physical (kinesthetic): You prefer using your body, hands and sense of touch. Logical (mathematical): You prefer using logic, reasoning and systems. Social (interpersonal): You prefer to learn in groups or with other people. Solitary (intrapersonal): You prefer to work alone and use self-study.
for me using this definitions i'm a visual, physical & logical learner. using your definition i'm a street smart. sorry guys ha if im confusing :)) :)) :)) wala lang gusto ko lang mangulit :suka3: :suka3: :suka3:
