i think Ramon Magsaysay he's the one who i could say possess  integrity

Ferdinand Marcos Could be great if it wasn't because the people around him

and his greed corrupted him

According to history Ramon Magsaysay was the best Philippine President because of its pro-poor agenda. He even opened Malacanang Palace to the people. However, most of us here don't really have an idea how did former Pres. Magsaysay govern our country 60 years ago though he wasn't able to finished his term due to plane accident in which he was one of the fatalities.

Former Pres. FVR & GMA have good economic policies however corruption issues beaten them. FVR opened the Philippines for privatization in order for some government agencies to be more efficient and effective. Ramos' administration was more focused on dismantling monopoly like PAL and many other monopoly companies. For GMAs part, she has done great in passing the EVAT law late 2005 in order to avoid fiscal crisis thereby increasing the money supply circulating in the market. During 2008, when USA suffered a bubble crisis, GMA made it sure that our country won't be affected by such crisis and luckily we weren't.

Now, Pnoy's admin is also doing great in terms of its economic policies. Stock Market is surging which is already at the 7000 mark, foreign investors are now recognizing the efforts of our government that they are committed in eradicating corruption, Peso's value is also surging, S&P's credit rating for the Philippines is already in investment grade (BBB-) which lowers our borrowing cost. GDP is also on an upward trend which is a sign of a fast pace growth.

So, by answering the question posted above, i would choose the current President, Benigno Aquino III.

For me, its still Marcos.

Maraming country humanga sa Pinas nung time nya. peso to dollar exchange nearly equal. In asia, Philippines and Japan were once considered on the Top spot. South Korea made the Philippines as their example through the leadership of Marcos.

I was wondering if we can still get back to that position. Malamang kkonte na lng ang mag aabroad neto.  :'(

I agree... being here in abroad for a few years na and kasama pa mga ibang lahi for political discussions, they still think marcos term as the best time for philippine economy and stability.

Sa term ni marcos umunlad ang pilipinas at sa term din ni marcos nagkaroon ng maraming utang ang pilipinas. Yung mga presidente after ni marcos ang nagpalala ng utang natin.

Magsaysay = Man of the Masses
Marcos dahil sa maraming naipunda na infrastructure sa pinas at mga reporma less than the martial law era.
Duterte = Fearless fight against corruption, drugs and the most important part disipline. Hirap sa pinoy ayaw mag pa disiplina kaya hanggang ngayun nag kakaletse letse pa rin ang buhay ng karamihan.

Ferdinand Marcos - maraming projects at infrastructure na kapaki pakinabang. matitibay pa at walang sub-standard.

and of course, Rodrigo Duterte for fighting corruptions and illegal drugs.

I wasn't born yet on those days, but as per record, I consider Ferdinand Marcos as the best President we ever had. I had met some professional and experienced people who lived during the Marcos Regime. They've said, it was really safe during those times and only those who are hard headed bitches gets killed.

I don't know if people commenting about Marcos were alive during the times of martial law and during the 70s or 80s. It was a very difficult time. It was the time that Filipinos started migrating abroad to find work because life here was difficult. That was also a time that the U.S. feared that we will be a communist country because the NPA was very strong at that time, the CPP had a lot of recruits because people had no where to turn to.


I hope that we will  not see those days again. I'm so sad that the young do not realize what they are talking about.

Para sa akin si Marcos pa din at 2nd si Duterte. Si Marcos hindi nagbabasa pag nagspeech at maraming infrastructure na napagawa.

Si Rodrigo Duterte lang ang natatanging. Naramdaman ko ang aksyon sa gobyerno. Naka ilang palit na ng administrasyon pero walang pinagbabago ang pinas. mula nung umupo si Digong. Maraming nangyari para sa ikabubuti ng pilipinas.

Para sa akin...Duterte...nakakulong na ngayon ang isang angkan doon sa amin na mga pusher at user, naghari sila sa barangay namin ng mga ilang dekada din, barangay captain pa ang ama nila ng matagal, pero ngayon, lahat na sila nakakulong....
