due to the recent events in our country (earthquake, super typhoons, civil unrest) i decided to update my first aid kits scattered in the house, edc bag, car and in my go bag....

a little background since some of you might think that its a bit too much but if you have read my other thread i think of my self somewhat of a "prepper" sa tagalog aning aning....

anyway the first aid kit i have in the house i home of a home medicine kit it consists of the following

usuall meds 1 pack/banig each(antihistamine, charcoal tabs, ibuprofen, loperamide, paracetamol)
band aid, bandages, eye bandage, butterfly bandage
emt sheers
tweezers
knife
nitrile gloves
cat tourniquet
digital thermometer
wrist bp monitor
vapor rub
cotton balls
baby wipes
mighty bond
rubbing alcohol and alcohol wipes
betadine
amonia
liquid bandage
lighter
dental floss
neosporin ointment
micropore tape
cotton swabs
elastic bandage (different sizes)
nebulizer with a bottle of nss
small oxygen tank and mask
safety pins
military bandana
space blanket
generic multi tool
head lamp type flashlight
duct tape
around 10 feet of para cord

for my car and go bag i have almost the same contents but in smaller quantities and less the big bulky stuff like the nebulizer and oxygen tank i keep it in a small pouch type bag

for my edc kit i has a small pouch with some basic meds for nausea, allergies, paracetamol, bandages, band aid, bandages, gauze, mighty bond alcohol wipes, cat tourniquet

i had a little bit of training back in high school and college about cpr and basic first aid when i was a red cross volunteer and i attended a tac med vac class a couple of years back.

i wish i could add a little bit more to my gear unfortunately some of the stuff are hard to find here like disposable thermometer strip and disposable cpr masks... does any of you know where i can find some...

how about doctors in the forum do you guys have anything else to add I'm pretty sure er doctors could add a whole lot more to the list

how about other guys what do you have share naman kayo dyan

lastly... given our current situation (disasters and civil unrest and all) i highly suggest you guys attend a first aid class over the weekend I'm pretty sure your local redcross has a schedule every month or every quarter at least....

like i said its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it....  :peace::peace:

i think it's great that you're always prepped up for whatever might happen... as they say, it is better to be safe than sorry....
