Basically, YES.
- They both have the same genre(e.g. Sci-fi, Fantasy, adventure  and action..).
- Both MMORPG (tho' ang SAO is VRMMORPG kasi using VR technology while log horizon is using computers).
- Both storyline started with Players being trapped into their games.
