Gothic fashion is a clothing style marked by conspicuously dark, mysterious, exotic, and complex features. It is worn by members of the goth subculture. A dark, sometimes morbid fashion and style of dress,[1] typical gothic fashion includes a pale complexion with colored black hair, black lips and black clothes.[1] Both male and female goths wear dark eyeliner and dark fingernail polish. Styles are often borrowed from the Punk fashion, Victorians andElizabethans.[1] Goth fashion is sometimes confused with heavy metal fashionand emo fashion.

To sublime dark simplicity to totally obscure and outlandish fashion...

Wicked

Le Noir Partie 3 by Mert & Marcus for Vogue Paris is a dark new series for the September issue featuring supermodel Kate Moss .. This editorial captures the model giving demonic stares while wearing gothic monarch attire, and accessorized with hair-raising crosses.

The stylist Katy England has adorned the duo in all-black fashion including lacy frocks, sheer fabrics, velvet dresses and cascading headdresses. The stylist has combined ebony monarch styles with gypsy elements to create a dark story that stands out.

Fashionably Dead

Gloomy and Gothic, the Kolfinna Kristofersdottir Pop Magazine editorial is filled with predominately black fashion pieces, with the occasional white and gold accent. The monochromatic palette accentuates the moodiness of the model (or perhaps it's the other way around). Other than the sulky stares it features, the photo shoot is very stoic and statuesque. A simple studio shoot, it concentrates solely on the emotion of the Polish beauty and the edgy, skin-revealing ensembles.

Kristen Stewart for Vogue Italia

The "dark fashion" originates from the dramatic colors and cuts of the past, borrowing garments and accessories from Victorian fashion, one of its parent. Men or women who dress in Gothic style make sure to have strictly black or crimson clothes in their wardrobes, studs or cloaks, combat boots and ankle boots, corsets and bustiers. But come to think of Gothic fashion, it's more a way of thinking than a style, depending on the wearer and how it is internalized and revised it can be elegant or excessive or tacky. Fashion is something personal, it's an outline that only we can complete, and Gothic fashion is born where music and literature play a vital role. From the youth of the famous London club "Batcave", from their way of dressing will dawn the English Gothic, a variant of the punk style "soiled" by strokes of rock: studded garments, rigid lace-up pants, leather skirts and makeup for men, torn fishnet stockings and exaggerated hairstyles.

It's Goth’n roll. During the 90s, even musicians become designers, as in Sharon den Adel's case, vocalist of the band Within Temptation, who not only sings but also designs her own clothes. The pomposity of the dresses contrasts and exalts the purity of the voice, emphasizing the inner torment. Women's clothes are inspired by Victorian fashion at times, other times by the Renaissance or medieval one. The choice for men is more diversified, from the dandy figure we arrive to that of Matrix's black Messiah, up to Anne Rice's vampire who loves velvet and lace. Colors change, not only black and red but also blue, white and purple. But technology advances and fashion, as always, follows. Cybergoth is an example, with its impudent fluorescent colors that stain clothes making them look like real armors, small robots, following futuristic and visionary trends. In Japan, lastly, we find the Gothic Lolita genre, a real doll that exaggerates the features of Victorian fashion.

Hehe... Ganun nga talaga very  strange and unusual ang get up nila... But there are different goth styles... Meron cyber goth, classic victorian goth, goth metal punks..etc.

Im not into goth fashion , im just fascinated on how yhey dress up and combine  such clothes with accessories... And shoes too!

Parang out of this world ang dating... But some chaps really have it cool... Comfortably looking austere... Depressive strange goths.

Thanks for the comment sissy! Maybe this coming halloween... Let's play  Goths... But on sixy lingerie! Hehe...

:) :) :)

~Snowhite Raven Black~

Skin like milk and lips like blood make for a Gothic fairytale beauty look if ever there was one. Paired with a short-fringed, raven-black bob, model Emily Green is part Snow White, party Evil Queen.

Photographer Henryk Lobaczewski created this bewitching portrait of Emily, playing with contrasts – black against white skin – and with focal points, deliberately allowing some details to be lost and making others the razor-sharp focus of attention.

Moonlit Eyes, Fantasy in Reality

Upon eyeing through an elaborate pictorial, it so often happens that your eyes simply don’t know where to make their first stop: on the pretty dress, on the amazing hair, on the flawless make-up or perhaps they will choose to pursue the elements of decor? When there’s too much beauty gathered in one single photo.

The Long Black Veil

It’s natural to balk a little at the image of models posing amidst gravestones and – in this case – imposing stone mausoleums. Maybe there’s an irreverence to it, an impiety; to tread foot where the dead lie buried, especially for a cause as flippant as fashion.

Let’s face it though: it’s not about disturbing the peace of the Sleepers, who are truly too far under to stir. It’s the living who take offence. And so it’s your perspective on death that determines your view on art in life, in situations where the latter is set amoungst the former. As Steve Jobs once remarked, death is very likely the best invention of life...

On Cybergoths....strippy tights and dark delights

Cybergoth is a very modern subgenre of Goth, whose visual appearance combines elements from traditional Goth (e.g. black clothes, heavy boots, fishnets, dramatic make-up and body piercings), raver fashion (bright colours, synthetic hair falls, glow sticks) which can be a little hit-and-miss, leading to the 'graver' look), rivethead fashion (rivethead is a term used to describe a fan of Industrial music. Goth and Industrial, as I'm sure I've mentioned, are very closely connected and you will hear them on the same dance floors, although they are not quite the Same, there is a distinct didifference between industrial music, cyber punk and punk music...

autumn goth fashion collection...

Nanette Lepre..

showcasing black satin midi skirts, transparent black lace blouses, and baroque suits paired with graphic tees. When combined with statement orchid lips and haphazard side bangs, Lepore's collection spoke of a nouveau goth who isn't afraid to wear peach but will offset the shade with chunky black platforms and mussed locks.

Alexander Wang...

Wang's retailers will have nothing to complain about with the chosen shades for his latest collection, but what they may not have bargained for is how utterly subversive each piece is. Wang equipped his models with a daring spin on the classic combat boot, adding a thick platform and no-nonsense studs for good measure. Intriguingly enough, some of the collection's most renegade pieces were a pair of studded pajamas and a studded velvet robe, which created the illusion that the Wang woman is both meticulous about her appearance and unwilling to adhere to conventional dress codes. Both qualities sound familiar when one thinks about the goth style of dress.

 Rag & Bone's Fall 2015 collection

goth-meets-athletic, pairing trim cropped suits with electric yellow windbreakers and black, lace-trimmed slip dresses with white tees. Marc Jacobs's cutting-edge collection combined gothic tradition with ladies who lunch elements of tweed and ladies who engage in bondage with black patent leather accents and transparent accents. And though Donna Karan's collection was largely noir, the looks were professional, opulent and alluring, qualities that the average goth aficionado might eschew.
